TUNING INSTRUCTIONS

CNCPros provides the Glentek AMP-0041, a specialized 5000-line AC brushless amplifier engineered for high-precision motion control in Fadal rotary tables. This amplifier is a critical component that increases the magnitude of the control signal to precisely drive motors, making it recommended for use on AC rotary tables like the VH65 and TR65. It is fully compatible with the Glentek MTR-0139 and Baldor MTR-0141 motors.

Technical Operation and Features

In partnership with Glentek, CNCPros provides amplifiers that meet the exacting standards of modern CNC machining. The latest generations feature advanced diagnostic capabilities to improve troubleshooting and minimize downtime.

• Current Output Modes: Amplifiers are designed to operate in three distinct modes:
• Peak Mode: For the initial 3-second period, the amplifier can deliver up to 200% of its continuous current output. This high-current burst is essential for rapid acceleration.
• Fold-Back Mode: After the 3-second peak period, if the high current draw persists, the amplifier automatically "folds back" to its 100% continuous output rating instead of shutting down. This prevents overheating and premature failure.
• Continuous Mode: The amplifier returns to its continuous output rating when the motor's power demand subsides, resetting the 3-second peak capability.
• Integrated Diagnostics: The amplifier's front-panel LED indicators are a key diagnostic tool.

A FAULT LED illuminates when the continuous duty cycle is exceeded, indicating the amplifier is operating in peak mode.

The LED turns off when the amplifier returns to a continuous rating, signifying normal operation.

The FAULT signal goes low only when a genuine malfunction occurs, such as a motor/wire disconnection or a short circuit. This distinction between a normal operating state and a true fault is crucial for accurate diagnostics.

Enhanced Durability: New amplifiers are protected by a durable cover. This shield safeguards the unit from handling damage and prevents stray chips and debris from entering the electrical cabinet, prolonging the amplifier's life.
