Product Overview:
Fadal Style Resolver Assembly (ENC-0008)
The ENC-0008 is a Fadal style resolver assembly designed to provide accurate positioning and control for your CNC machine. This essential component ensures the high performance and reliability of your Fadal CNC operations by giving the controller precise position feedback.
Key Features and Functionality
The ENC-0008 is used to give accurate position feedback for Glentek motors, converting mechanical position into electrical signals. This allows the CNC controller to precisely adjust and monitor motor positions, which is critical for tasks like milling, drilling, and cutting where high precision is required.
Compatibility
The ENC-0008 Fadal style resolver is compatible with the following Glentek motors:
- MTR-0002
- MTR-0003
- MTR-0010
- MTR-0125
If you're unsure whether this resolver will work with your specific Fadal machine, please contact us. Our team can help you confirm compatibility and find the right part.

Resolver Testing Guide
To test a resolver, you'll need a voltmeter to measure the resistance and voltage of its coils. A resolver typically has three coils: two excitation coils and one reference coil
Step 1: Check Resistance
Measure the resistance of the three coil pairs. The values will vary by manufacturer:
AMCI Resolver:
- Pair A: 35-45 Ohms
- Pair B & C: 125-135 Ohms
Harowe Resolver:
- Pair A: 70-80 Ohms
- Pair B & C: 190-220 Ohms
Step 2: Check for Shorts
Measure the resistance between all other pin combinations. There should be an open circuit. Also, measure the resistance from each pin to the resolver frame (case) to ensure there are no shorts to ground.
Step 3: Check Voltage
When connected, the voltage readings should be:
- Pair A: 1.7 VDC
- Pair B & C: 3.5 VDC
Pair A connects directly to the 1010 axis card via the J2 bottom bullet connector.
By following these steps, you can effectively determine if your resolver is working correctly.
